Hello! I am one of two Academic Coaches/Resource teachers at St. Joseph for grades K-4. We provide individual and small group instruction to students who need a little more attention and time in their journey to becoming more proficient in reading and math. Students come to us solely by recommendation of the homeroom teacher, and generally our work with students parallels what is happening in class.
After a few years teaching in the public school system, I taught second grade for ten years at St. Cornelius Catholic School before coming to St. Joseph in 2020. I completed my college degree at Auburn University and my teaching credential at Cal State East Bay.
It is a privilege and pleasure to work with students on developing crucial language arts and math skills that are the foundation of their academic success.
When not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading (of course!), cooking, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
