Debbie Sutter

Hello! I am the new Academic Coach/Resource teacher who helps students improve their skills. As a former class room teacher of 42 years, I understand that children learn at different speeds. My aim is to fill in the gaps by working closely with the teachers to give individual attention to these students. I am a product of Catholic schools: I attended Saint John’s in El Cerrito and Holy Names High. After earning my degrees in French and History from UC Berkeley, I returned to my alma mater and taught both courses for over 30 years. In the 90’s I received my Masters in English at Holy Names University and added that subject to my repertoire. I taught middle school English at Saint Paul’s for 7 years and now I am the Academic Coach. My room is decorated with dog pictures and the kids call my room the Dog Room and they are my puppies.
