A Juneteenth Prayer

Juneteenth is a federal holiday that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans in the United States. As we celebrate freedom, may we also take the time to pray for racial justice and peace.

A Juneteenth Prayer

Loving God,

As we remember the end of slavery in America,
Guide our nation to true peace, justice, and freedom for all.
Create in us hearts of courage ready to stand against the forces of injustice, hatred, and prejudice. Help us to love every person and celebrate the inherent dignity of all.

Amen.
